We’re seeking a Board Certified Pediatric Anesthesiologist to join the expanding practice at Cincinnati Children’s, one of the United States’ leading pediatric research and teaching institutions and ranked No. 3 in the nation among Honor Roll hospitals by U.S. News & World Report’s ranking of 2020-21 Best Children’s Hospitals. The desired candidate brings a sincere commitment to providing family-centered patient care, training health care professionals for the future, and building and promoting a diverse and inclusive workforce. We’re also looking for physicians who would like to mentor junior faculty and work collaboratively with CRNAs, fellows and residents in accordance with Cincinnati Children’s core values: Compassionate, Collaborative, Honest, Impactful, and Curious (CCHMC).

You’ll join a busy, collegial department comprised of nine divisions (Anesthesia, Cardia, Imaging, IONM, Acute Pain, Medical/Chronic Pain, Fetal Care, Palliative Care, and Research) and a growing team of highly dedicated faculty, CRNAs, APRNs, RNs, anesthesia techs, and administrative and business staff, all of whom share a common goal to provide the best possible patient care.  The department maintains an active peer-to-peer support team and a wellness program based on mind-body health.

Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Medical Center is nationally recognized as a leader in pediatric healthcare, with a reputation for excellence in patient care, research and medical education, and a commitment to end healthcare disparities in our region. The hospital will celebrate the opening of a new 600,000-square-foot clinical expansion at its main campus in 2021. This expansion will grow both new and existing programs and will add 249 new beds for a total of 692 regional beds, as well as a new emergency department. Forbes magazine named Cincinnati Children’s to its 2020 list of America’s Best Employers for Diversity and to its 2020 list of America’s Best Employers for Women. A diverse hospital is a more talented, innovative and compassionate hospital where kids can receive better care.

Cincinnati Children’s Research Foundation, the umbrella organization under which the Department of Pediatrics stands, is one of the largest pediatric research programs in the nation. The University of Cincinnati Department of Pediatrics consists entirely of staff members from Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Medical Center. U.S. News & World Report ranked University of Cincinnati No. 5 in the nation on its 2020 list of best medical schools for pediatrics.

One of the best places to live in Ohio, Cincinnati offers a strong regional economy, excellent schools, an abundance of parks and green spaces, stunning and historic architecture, and more than 70 distinct neighborhoods, each with its own unique character ranging from upscale to eclectic and artsy. You’ll also find a vibrant culinary and beermaking scene, professional sports, arts and cultural destinations, and the famous Over-the-Rhine entertainment district, located just a mile from downtown. Residents enjoy all of these perks and a great cost of living; U.S. News & World Report ranked Cincinnati as the No. 10 most affordable city in the entire country in 2019, and Forbes magazine ranked it No. 5 on its 2020 list of most affordable U.S. cities.
