Pediatric Endocrinology — Coastal Southern California
Description
Pediatric Search Partners has been engaged by MemorialCare Miller Children’s & Women’s Hospital in Long Beach, California, to identify Board Eligible/Board Certified Pediatric Endocrinologists to join and aid in the growth of an important pediatric endocrinology and diabetes program serving children and families across coastal Southern California.
This is an exceptional opportunity for pediatric endocrinologists who are energized by meaningful clinical work, collaborative care, and the chance to help shape the future of a highly valued pediatric service line at one of California’s leading freestanding children’s and women’s hospitals. Miller Children’s & Women’s offers a robust pediatric patient population, experienced inpatient and outpatient support teams, significant regional need for pediatric endocrinology and diabetes services, and a clear institutional commitment to expand access, strengthen continuity of care and build a strong program for the future in one of the most desirable coastal regions in the country.
Miller Children’s & Women’s is one of only eight freestanding children’s hospitals in California and is uniquely positioned as one of the region’s few hospitals offering specialized maternity and pediatric care under one roof. The hospital serves a large and diverse patient population throughout Los Angeles and Orange Counties and beyond, with 357 licensed pediatric and women’s beds, more than 850 pediatric physicians, more than 850 pediatric registered nurses, 18 California Children’s Services Centers, and patients and families from more than 250 cities and 500 ZIP codes.
Incoming pediatric endocrinologists will join at a pivotal and exciting time, contributing to a program that supports ambulatory care, inpatient consultation, pediatric diabetes management, endocrine care, newborn screening, and collaboration across the Emergency Department, PICU, NICU, MedSurg, and other pediatric subspecialty programs.
The program is a California Children’s Services program and is supported by experienced nurses with expertise in diabetes and endocrinology, diabetes educators, social work, dietitians, clinic and hospital staff, pediatric subspecialists, and a planned advanced practice provider. The long-term goal is to build an exceptional team of pediatric endocrinologists with balanced inpatient and outpatient coverage, shared call, and the infrastructure needed to provide outstanding care to children and families throughout coastal Southern California.
This opportunity is especially well suited for pediatric endocrinologists who want more than a traditional employed role. It offers the chance to be part of something important — strengthening access, helping define care models, supporting an experienced and deeply committed staff team, and shaping a service line that is deeply valued across the hospital.
