Pediatric Urology – New Orleans
We’re seeking a fellowship-trained, Board Certified/Board Eligible Pediatric Urologist to join the expanding team at Ochsner Medical Center and Ochsner Hospital for Children in New Orleans, Louisiana. Ochsner Hospital for Children is the only children’s hospital in Louisiana and Mississippi ranked by U.S. News & World Report – four years in a row.
This position is ideal for a collaborative individual who enjoys working within a collegial, multi-disciplinary team. In addition, this is an exceptional opportunity for candidates interested in:
- Performing a full range of services with a focus on minimally invasive and robotic surgery as well as complex genitourinary reconstruction. OMC has 3 Davinci robotic suites as well as a newly opened pediatric surgery OR and ASC.
- An academic position that involves teaching of medical students and urology residents.
- Translational and clinical research.
The Department of Urology currently includes 32 urologists systemwide, including two pediatric urologists and 11 APPs, 140 pediatric primary care physicians and subspecialists, a dedicated pediatric anesthesia team, and a 200-bed NICU. The department also has a growing multidisciplinary myelodysplasia clinic which includes a general pediatrician, pediatric urology, pediatric orthopedics, pediatric neurosurgery, and social work support.
