We’re seeking a Board Certified or Board Eligible Pediatric Nephrologist for an exceptional new opportunity joining Texas Children’s Hospital at their rapidly expanding campus at The Woodlands.  Texas Children’s The Woodlands opened their outpatient clinic and ICU in the fall of 2016 in this desirable, growing area of the Houston metroplex and is the second community pediatric hospital in the Texas Children’s system.

Ranked 4th in the nation of Best Children’s Hospitals by U.S. News & World Report out of nearly 200 pediatric institutions, Texas Children’s has been placed on the Best Children’s Honor Roll of best pediatric hospitals for the ninth consecutive year. The hospital’s outstanding reputation for treatment advances has contributed to its current No. 1 ranking in Texas. In fact, over the last decade, no other pediatric hospital in the state has ever achieved an overall ranking as high as Texas Children’s. Inpatient services at Texas Children’s The Woodlands opened in April 2017 with 62 inpatient beds, including 14 PICU, 14 NICU, and 34 acute care beds.

The Renal Service at Texas Children’s Hospital is one of the largest programs in the world and provides diagnostic, therapeutic and long-term care for infants, children and adolescents with all forms of congenital and acquired kidney diseases. Care is provided with an integrated, comprehensive, patient and family centered focus by a team of physicians, advance practice providers, nurses, dietitians, pharmacists, social workers, child-life specialists, psychologists, and quality of life leaders. Texas Children’s Hospital is a national leader in renal replacement therapy (RRT) for critically ill children with acute renal failure, providing, peritoneal dialysis, acute hemodialysis and continuous renal replacement therapy (CRRT).  Texas Children’s is also one of the few pediatric centers in the United States that offers MARS therapy for children with liver failure or drug ingestions.
