We’re seeking a physician who is Board Certified or Board Eligible in Pediatric Infectious Disease to join the expanding practice at Ochsner Hospital for Children in New Orleans, Louisiana. An interest in Antimicrobial Stewardship is desirable.
The Infectious Disease Practice at Ochsner Hospital for Children provides inpatient and outpatient evaluation and management of children with suspected or proven infectious diseases. In addition to patient care, there are teaching responsibilities for the education of Tulane-Ochsner pediatric residents and medical students, and University of Queensland medical students.

Ochsner Hospital for Children offers a full range of pediatric care from primary to quaternary care, with services offered in all subspecialties including advanced gastroenterology/hepatology, orthopedic surgery, oncology and heart, liver and bone marrow transplant. In addition, physicians collaborate with nationally recognized adult partners to provide young adult transitional care in a variety of specialties.
About Ochsner Pediatrics:
Ochsner Hospital for Children includes a pediatric primary care network, a dedicated pediatric emergency department, in-house pediatric intensivists and a full-time pediatric hospitalist medicine service, as well as a dedicated, full-time, pediatric transport team providing ground, rotary and fixed wing transports across the entire Gulf South. This 113-bed children’s hospital within a hospital at Ochsner Medical Center has a 36-bed pediatric unit, along with a 14-bed level I PICU, 12-bed CVICU and 50-bed level IV regional referral NICU. The team serves a broad geographic area encompassing the entire Gulf South region by leveraging a system of satellite clinics and, extensive telemedicine capabilities, as well as a dedicated, full-time, pediatric transport team providing ground, rotary and fixed wing transports across the entire region.
