Pediatric Cardiology – Two Hours from Los Angeles, the Sierra Nevada Mountains and the Central Coast

The Willson Heart Center at Valley Children's Healthcare is seeking a board certified/eligible general pediatric cardiologist to help staff its Eagle Oaks Specialty Care Center in Bakersfield, California.  You would be joining a seasoned pediatric cardiologist in a cardiac ambulatory clinic supported by two congenital sonographers, medical assistants, with ability for advanced scanning, EKG, Holter and Event monitors.  Experience with fetal cardiac imaging is encouraged to help enhance the fetal program.  In addition, you will be supporting local level 2 and level 3 neonatal ICU’s, pediatric ICU, and inpatient pediatric unit.  There is also the opportunity to take service at the main campus in order to maintain your critical care skills, if desired.

The Willson Heart Center has a team of 14 board certified pediatric cardiologists, three interventional cardiologists, an electrophysiologist and three Stanford affiliated pediatric cardiothoracic surgeons caring for patients across a comprehensive range of heart conditions and diseases. The practice at Valley Children’s Hospital and at the outreach centers in Modesto, Merced, Visalia, Bakersfield, and Central Coast, provide assessment and follow-up care for more than 12,000 outpatients and 15,000 echocardiograms each year with known or suspected cardiac, cardiopulmonary and cardiovascular disease.  The group is committed to the wellness and professional development of its members.
