Description

Ranked again as one of the nation’s Best Children’s Hospitals in Neonatology by U.S. News & World Report in 2018-2019, we’re seeking Board Eligible/Board Certified Neonatologists to join the growing team with Valley Children’s Healthcare, one of the largest pediatric healthcare networks in the country.

Situated in the center of one of California’s most stunning geographic areas, Valley Children’s main Hospital campus in Madera provides Level IV Neonatal Intensive Care and supports a network of three satellite neonatal units (28 beds) located across the Valley. At Valley Children’s main campus, you’ll love working at a state-of-the-art, 330-bed facility that sits on a 50-acre campus on the idyllic bluffs of the San Joaquin River, with the Sierra Nevada Mountains in the background.

Valley Children’s offers the highest level of care available for neonates and infants between Los Angeles and the Bay Area in its 88-bed NICU, which includes 21 private and semi-private rooms. Physicians and staff provide Intermediate Neonatal Intensive Care for neonates and infants in its NICU’s at partner hospitals in the region – Saint Agnes Medical Center, Fresno (eight-bed Community Level III unit and six-bed Level Intermediate Level II unit), Mercy Medical Center, Merced (eight-bed unit Intermediate Level II) and Adventist Medical Center, Hanford (a six-bed Level II NICU). The network also maintains a partnership with Stanford Children’s Health.

Valley Children’s sees more than 1,100 fragile babies and has 25,000 patient days annually. The outcomes with neonates under 1,500 grams are consistently better than other comparable centers in California.

Additionally, we’re seeking BC/BE Neonatologists to join the expanding Valley Children’s team at their partner hospital, Kaweah Delta Medical Center, just 45 minutes away from the main campus. Kaweah Delta’s Level III NICU is a community-level designated 15-bed NICU. Kaweah Delta’s Pediatrics Unit is a 12-bed unit caring for children from birth to adolescence.

Situated near the center of the state, you’ll enjoy an exceptional quality of life with an unparalleled opportunity to live within one to three hours of the magnificent Pacific coast, the Sierra Nevada Mountains and the San Francisco, San Jose and Los Angeles metropolitan areas. Sonoma and Napa counties and Lake Tahoe all are within a four-drive. Outdoor enthusiasts will enjoy living in the only city in the nation to have not just one, but three National Parks (Yosemite, King’s Canyon and Sequoia) right in your own backyard. Whether you prefer the snow, the sun or the sand, it’s all within your reach.

Another perk: The area is very affordable, and it boasts award-winning schools, making it the perfect choice for families.

A Magnet Nursing facility, Valley Children’s offers an excellent support staff along with a busy, growing practice and a highly competitive compensation package, including signing bonus and relocation.
