***FILLED*** Neonatology Opening – Gulf Coast
Ranked as one of the nation’s Best Children’s Hospitals in Cardiology and Heart Surgery by U.S. News & World Report in 2017-2018, Pediatric Search Partners is seeking a Board Eligible/Board Certified Neonatologist for Ochsner Hospital for Children in New Orleans, Louisiana.
With the assistance of an experienced group of neonatal nurse practitioners, Ochsner’s team of board-certified neonatologists directs the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit at Ochsner Baptist Women’s Pavilion, which features 54 NICU beds, including private NICU rooms. The NICU carries a Level III regional designation – the highest level awarded by the state of Louisiana- and has long been commended for its innovative approach to caring for the sickest newborns.
At Ochsner, you’ll find an incredibly exciting opportunity to join a rapidly growing team of more than 120 physicians, including pediatric subspecialists and a full spectrum of pediatric medical and surgical subspecialty teams. The group is the region’s leading integrated provider of multispecialty care for infants, children, adolescents, and young adults offering a full range of pediatric services, including solid organ transplantation and pediatric cardiovascular surgery. In addition to the NICU, current facilities include a 26-bed PICU (14-bed Med/Surg and 12-bed CVICU), and a 35-bed General Pediatric Unit with a dedicated state-of-the-art comprehensive child development center opening in 2018. The Boh Center for Child Development will fill a critical need for specialized pediatric care in Louisiana and will be the only facility to offer this type of comprehensive care in the region under one roof.
Located in one of our most vibrant cultural cities, this nonprofit, academic, multi-specialty institution is the recipient of numerous awards, including Healthgrades’ Distinguished Hospitals for Clinical Excellence, which places Ochsner in the top 5 percent of U.S. hospitals for clinical outcomes. Ochsner also has a combined pediatrics residency program with Tulane University Medical School. Medical students from Tulane and the University of Queensland/Ochsner Clinical School rotate through the division. The successful candidate will be eligible for an academic appointment commensurate with experience.
