Medical Director, CVICU
We’re seeking an experienced Pediatric Cardiac Intensivist who is board certified in Pediatric Critical Care Medicine and Pediatric Cardiac Critical Care to serve as Medical Director, CVICU at Ochsner Hospital for Children in New Orleans, Louisiana. Responsibilities will include leadership, development, and oversight of the physicians in this state-of-the-art 12-bed CVICU with teaching responsibilities for pediatric residents, medical students and allied health students. The successful candidate will be eligible for an academic appointment commensurate with experience.
The Department of Pediatrics and its pediatric subspecialists (collectively, Ochsner for Children™) represent over 110 physicians. The group is the region’s leading integrated provider of multispecialty care for infants, children, adolescents, and young adults. Ochsner Hospital for Children offers a full range of pediatric services including bone marrow transplantation, solid organ transplantation, and pediatric cardiovascular surgery and utilizes a 54-bed Level III-C Neonatal Intensive Care Unit, a 14-bed PICU, a 35-bed pediatric unit, as well as a dedicated, full-time, region-wide in-house pediatric transport team.
