The greater Ochsner Health Network is currently comprised of 2,500 primary care and specialty care physicians and is growing quickly to meet the needs of the region.
New Orleans is home to a one of the world’s most fascinating cultural melting pots. Eclectic and architecturally diverse neighborhoods, each with its own district personality; beautiful parks; incredible nightlife; world-class cuisine; and a year-round lineup of festivals – of which Mardi Gras undoubtedly commands the biggest audience – are among the draws of living here. A warm and friendly climate draws residents outdoors to stroll the city streets, take in the sights and enjoy New Orleans’ wealth of recreational opportunities. Hop on a streetcar, take in a concert or professional sports event, or soak up the history. New Orleans never leaves you wanting for something to do. On the weekends, head to the Gulf Shores of Alabama (a two-and-a-half-hour drive away) or the gorgeous white sands of Pensacola (just three hours away). A strong local economy, a relaxed vibe, good old Southern hospitality and excellent schools and a cost of living lower than other major U.S. cities all add to the outstanding quality of life this region affords.
