Pediatric Neurology – Epilepsy, Headache, Movement Disorders, Clinical Neurophysiology, Developmental/Autism
We are seeking Board Certified/Eligible Pediatric Neurologists to join the growing team of 19 physicians and 2 advanced practitioners at CHOC Children’s Specialists. The practice serves a rising population base, providing inpatient consultation services and outpatient services. The group offers a full range of Pediatric Neurology within CHOC Children’s Neuroscience Institute and actively collaborates with the Neurosurgery Division consisting of 3 Pediatric Neurosurgeons and 3 Physician Assistants. The call schedule and working environment are well balanced.
Clinical research is encouraged and supported, with opportunity for an academic appointment at the University of California, Irvine. Opportunities to teach include medical students, pediatric residents, pediatric neurology fellows, and clinical neurophysiology fellows. Faculty members have also mentored biomedical engineers.
Existing multidisciplinary programs with support from psychology, psychiatry, social work, pharmacy, and registered dietitians include epilepsy, sleep, ketogenic diet, hypothalamic hamartoma, concussion/TBI, muscular dystrophy, and Down syndrome.
Board certification with post fellowship clinical experience and special interest in movement disorders, headaches, epilepsy, clinical neurophysiology or developmental/autism. Applicants should have strong clinical skills in general pediatric neurology, and will be expected to actively participate in program development and education.
