Pediatric Emergency Medicine – Houston
We’re seeking fellowship-trained, Board Certified or Board Eligible Pediatric Emergency Medicine physicians to join the growing team at Texas Children’s Hospital at their campus in The Woodlands, one of the top master-planned communities in the nation located just 30 minutes north of downtown Houston. The position offers a faculty appointment with the Baylor College of Medicine commensurate with experience.
Texas Children’s The Woodlands opened their outpatient clinic and ICU in the fall of 2016 in this desirable, growing area of the Houston metroplex and is the second community hospital in the Texas Children’s system. Inpatient services at Texas Children’s The Woodlands opened in April 2017 with 62 inpatient beds, including 14 PICU, 14 NICU, 32 acute care beds and 4 operating rooms with shelled space for 4-5 additional OR’s.
Ranked 3rd (tied) in the nation of Best Children’s Hospitals by U.S. News & World Report in 2019-20 out of nearly 200 pediatric institutions, Texas Children’s has top 10 rankings in all 10 recognized specialties. The Baylor College of Medicine Department of Pediatrics Section of Emergency Medicine consists of over 50 Pediatric Emergency Medicine fellowship-trained physicians, 10 general pediatricians, and 18 pediatric emergency medicine, Global Health, and Point of Care ultrasound fellows. In addition to the academic responsibilities at Baylor College of Medicine, the Section collectively treat over 130,000 pediatric patients in the Houston metropolitan area across three clinical sites: Texas Children’s Hospital Main Campus, Texas Children’s Hospital West Campus, and Texas Children’s The Woodlands.
The Emergency Center at The Woodlands is staffed with fellowship-trained, pediatric emergency medicine physicians and provides state-of-the-art pediatric emergency care for babies and children of all ages, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
